I just about finished the corset. I just need to press the edges and sew in the panel that goes underneath the lacing in the back. Otherwise I'm finished. I'll post pictures of it laced up and on me when I get the last part done, but for now...
I'll be making vintage reproduction clothes, clothes in general, costumes, and some interior design elements. My research and projects will wind up here. I'm also very geeky, as will at times be evident in the costumes I put together. I'm particularly interested in the 20's-50's particularly for different reasons, however that is not the extent of my interest.

Once inspired and a great sale!
This weekend I had the privilege of shopping the Hancocks 56th anniversary sale. And because it was the 56th anniversary, many items were 56 percent off. Because of this I bought quite a lot. My first pattern/fabric combination is a pattern (I'm convinced is) inspired by Once Upon a Time. The picture looks just like an outfit Snow wore multiple times in the series. Because of a sale on the sale bin, I managed to get the fabric for less than five dollars, which is helpful when you need 4 yards of it. I bought more patterns and fabrics too but Ill post pictures of them when I get the chance.

50's inspired skirt progress
Sorry about the mess in the background but this is the progress on one of my 50's inspired skirts. Here it is mostly finished, save for the hem and finishing the waistband. Ill post pics of the finished product when I have an outfit of it this weekend.

Pinning
After getting basic lines sewn, I became rather anxious to get a sense of what it would look like, so I pinned all the pieces to my dress form. I'm glad I did because it was so pretty, I was highly motivated to work on it further. This happened a week or so ago, but I've been sewing in all of my spare time, and haven't had the chance to post.
